For awhile now I have been seeing lots of people dedicated to one or the other, Calisthenics or Weights. Which is fine, but the problem that I've had with some of the things I've been reading is that they completely bag on the other one. Its totally fine to love calisthenics and just do calisthenics or love weight training and only do weight training but when I see a video of someone with an impressive physique doing calisthenics and read a bunch of comments saying that he must lift weights because you cant get an impressive physique like that with calisthenics is just a little unnecessary .
Some People act like you're only allowed to do one or the other which I fine stupid to limit yourself to one form of training. What im saying is that calisthenics and weight training aren't exclusive clubs, you can do both and see great results. And I understand some people cant do both or just aren't interested in the other, which is absolutely fine.
I find that using calisthenics movements with additional weights for example weighted pull ups is a great way to increase strength and build bigger muscles.
The point of this article is to note that "Weight Training vs. Calisthenics" is really up to personal preference and you don't have to limit yourself to one method of training. If you really want to do a planche, do calisthenics and learn how to do one, if you really want to increase your bench press and get a bigger chest in the progress do it.
